WilderGo is being built to help people exploring outside connect with trusted community, use safety-focused tools, and access support when needed. Because trust is central to WilderGo, we aim to collect only the information needed to provide and improve the experience.

WilderGo may request access to your device location only when needed for enabled features such as maps, route awareness, nearby community features, check-ins, Guardian support, or Connected SOS.

Depending on your settings and the feature being used, location access may include approximate location, precise location, foreground location, or background location. You can manage location permissions through your device settings.

Safety and SOS Information
If you use safety-focused features such as Connected SOS, check-ins, Guardian support, or emergency assistance tools, WilderGo may process information needed to support that request, such as your location, selected contacts or Guardians, time of request, status updates, and relevant safety context you choose to share.

Usage and Device Information
We may collect limited technical information such as device type, app version, crash logs, diagnostics, performance data, and feature usage to improve reliability, safety, and product performance.

Payment and Subscription Information
If WilderGo offers paid features, payments may be processed by platform providers or payment processors. WilderGo does not store full payment card details.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

Provide and improve the WilderGo app and website.
Create and manage accounts.
Support community, verification, event, map, and safety features.
Enable location-based features when permission is granted.
Support Connected SOS, check-ins, Guardian support, and related safety tools.
Send launch updates, product updates, or service messages when users sign up for them.
Monitor app performance, fix bugs, and improve reliability.
Manage subscriptions, purchases, or account status.
Protect users, prevent abuse, and enforce community guidelines.

4. Location Data

Location data is sensitive, and WilderGo treats it carefully.

WilderGo may use location data to power features such as maps, nearby community, route awareness, check-ins, Guardian support, and Connected SOS. WilderGo does not use location data for advertising.

Location access depends on the permissions you grant through your device. You can change or revoke location permissions at any time in your device settings. Some WilderGo features may not work properly if location access is disabled.

If background location is used, it is only intended for features where ongoing location is necessary, such as active safety sessions, check-ins, Guardian support, or other enabled safety-related features.

5. Safety Features and Emergency Limitations

WilderGo provides safety-focused tools designed to help people connect with trusted community and request support. WilderGo is not a replacement for 911, emergency services, search and rescue, medical care, law enforcement, or official emergency response.

In an emergency, users should contact local emergency services whenever possible.

WilderGo does not guarantee that help will be available, that a Guardian or community member will respond, or that messages and alerts will be delivered in all conditions. Delivery may depend on device settings, connectivity, location access, platform limitations, and third-party services.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information only when necessary to provide WilderGo services, comply with law, protect users, or support features you choose to use.

This may include sharing information with:

Service Providers
Vendors that help us provide hosting, analytics, crash reporting, email delivery, payment processing, or customer support.

Platform Providers
Apple, Google, payment processors, or app-store providers when needed for app distribution, purchases, subscriptions, notifications, or platform functionality.

Other WilderGo Users
Information you choose to share through profile, community, events, Guardian, messaging, check-in, or safety features may be visible to other users depending on your settings and feature use.

Guardians or Trusted Contacts
If you use Connected SOS, check-ins, or Guardian support, relevant information may be shared with selected Guardians, trusted contacts, or nearby community members based on the feature and your settings.

Legal and Safety Purposes
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, prevent abuse, investigate misuse, or respond to lawful requests.

7. Third-Party Services

WilderGo may use third-party services for hosting, analytics, crash reporting, subscriptions, payments, email, maps, or app functionality. These providers may process information according to their own privacy practices.

We work to use service providers that support security, privacy, and appropriate data protection.

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide WilderGo, support safety and account features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and improve the service.

10. Account Deletion

You may request account deletion by contacting privacy@wildergoapp.com or by using account deletion tools if available in the app.

WilderGo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.
